My travel and accommodation expenses for June 2013 were as follows:

Hotels – I stayed 11 nights in hotels in London with a total cost of £1046, average cost £95 per night compared to a limit of £150.

Train fares – I made 3 return journeys to London with total cost of £267, average return journey cost of £89. The maximum claim per return  journey under the rules is £146.

Tube fares – £10

Car parking at East Midlands parkway station – £53

Mileage claim – £187 – this is higher than normal as I drove to London one week.

I claimed for one taxi from Derby station to Langley Mill. The cost was £20. This was due to delayed trains meaning I missed the last connection to Langley Mill and so travelled home via a taxi from Derby station.

The full details of the claims are published by IPSA.
